Richfield Interfaith Coalition to Host Interfaith Tour of Worship Spaces on October 18

Richfield, OH — The Richfield Interfaith Coalition is excited to invite the public to its upcoming Interfaith Tour of Worship Spaces, a unique opportunity to explore and learn about the diverse religious communities that call the greater Richfield area home. The tour will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at St. Victor Catholic Church.

This day-long event will include visits to six houses of worship, each offering a 20-minute guided experience introducing attendees to the beliefs, traditions, and sacred spaces of various faiths. The tour is designed to foster greater understanding, respect, and connection among people of all backgrounds.

Tour Stops Include:

  1. St. Victor Catholic Church Check in begins at 8:30 am, Start Time is 9:00 a.m.) we will have a presentation by St Victor’s, the Bethel Lutheran Church and the United Church of Christ
  2. *Richfield Sikh Gurdwara  - Arrive by: 10:30
  3. *Palyul Ohio – Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhist Temple - Arrive by: 11:00
  4. *Jain Society of Greater Cleveland - Arrive by: 11:30
  5. *Chinmaya Mission - Arrive by: 12:00
  6. *Sree Venkateswara Temple of Cleveland (Final stop – includes a complimentary lunch) - Arrive by 12:30. Lunch to follow

Each stop will last approximately 20 minutes, with 10 minutes allotted for travel between locations. Attendees will experience the unique spiritual atmosphere of each space and learn directly from community leaders about their respective faiths.

“This tour is a powerful reminder of the beauty found in our religious and cultural differences,” said Michael Wheeler, representative of the Richfield Interfaith Coalition. “By visiting each other’s sacred spaces, we open doors to deeper understanding, respect, and unity.”

Participants are encouraged to dress modestly and respectfully. Some sites may ask visitors to remove shoes or follow additional customs. Transportation is self-guided, attendees may drive individually or carpool. Carpooling is highly encouraged.

* -No shoes are permitted, socks are fine. No short pants for men. Head scarves are required. They will supply you one or you can bring your own.

The tour will conclude with a free vegetarian lunch at Sree Venkateswara Temple of Cleveland, offering time for fellowship and reflection.
