IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING ROAD SALT:
We want to be upfront and transparent with our residents and community about the current salt situation of the Village. Our salt supplier Cargill, which serves many communities and agencies across the region, is experiencing supply issues with salt orders. The Village placed an order a week and a half ago, and we are unsure when the order will be delivered. It is possible it may come next week, however that will not be in time for the storm expected this weekend. Our Service Director and service department have been on top of the situation and in constant contact with our supplier. Our Service Department will do their very best to keep roads as clear as possible, as we have been doing all winter. We will be conserving salt for main roads, intersections, bridges and hills.
Please allow extra travel time, use caution when driving, avoid parking on streets and keep trash cans out of the street before, during, and after snowfall so our crews can plow efficiently.
