During this time Fechko Excavating will be lowering the roadway for increased sight distance and safety.  Please follow posted detour signs during this time.   For complete information download SR 303 Widening Project- Residents Information letter from FECHKO Excavating.  Click here to download the SR303 Widening Project Letter

UPDATE on the measures Fechko has taken to alleviate MOT concerns. On Tuesday we added a sign On SR 303 at Black Rd. that says East Bound Only, No Outlet along with a One Way arrow sign on an Orange Drum for Black Road Traffic to send them East. I have requested for Richfield Police to have a LEO on SR 303 sitting at Black Road with the cruiser lights on from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 2:15 PM to 6:15 PM through Friday of this week and next Monday and Tuesday if the group decides its needed. When the PD is unable to fill the LEO with an off duty officer they are trying to patrol that area with on duty officers the best they can depending on other calls. Today it was requested by the Police and the Village that we remove the “0.8 Miles Ahead” from the Type Three Road Closure barricade so that it states Road closed, Local Traffic Only at SR 303 and Black Rd. Hopefully people will turn down Black Road and detour. We also added a barricade with type B flashing lights on the south side of the eastbound lane to draw more attention to the closure. We will add a Road Closed sign to that barricade shortly. As for the intersections of Sawbridge and Briarwood, we milled in place the asphalt and it is still a smooth surface for traffic. As we continue to do excavation and drainage work, the asphalt will be removed and a wedge of compacted 304 stone will be installed to maintain reasonable access for traffic. We installed a stone wedge along the drop off in the work area to match ODOT Drop Off’s in Work Zones Standard drawing and I made sure to measure and put a level on it to make sure we are in compliance.
