MEMBERSHIP:   Yearly dues are $10.00 for Richfield residents and $15.00 for non-residents.

MEALS: Meals are prepared by The Pine Valley Center and are delivered to participants by volunteers, around noon. Meals are provided seven days a week for $3.00 per day. 

EMERGENCY MONITORING SYSTEM:  The Village of Richfield offers a VRI monitoring system which is installed in home as a necklace or wristband.  In the event of an emergency, the service, when activated, notifies police, fire and emergency medical services via an alarm company.  There is a monthly fee of $15.00 which includes monitoring and equipment.  The service is sponsored by the Richfield Fire Department.

MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION:  Volunteers are available to transport seniors to medical appointments when no other means are available.

BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENING:  Visiting Nurse Services are available for blood pressure screenings at the Senior Center on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, 11:00-12:00.  There is no charge for the screening.

TAI CHI:  An excercise/movement class stressing balance control, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness is held at the senior center each Wednesday at 2:00.  The cost is $7.00 per class.

ARM CHAIR EXERCISE:  Low impact, stretching exercises are performed either sitting in or standing next to a chair.  The program is held each Thursday at 11:15 prior to lunch and bingo.  There is no fee for the exercise program.

LINE DANCING:  Each Wednesday at 12:30 an instructor leads a fun, musical class with instructions and repeated steps.  Dancing without a partner but with friends.. Cost is $5.00 per class.  On Hiatus until we get a new teacher.

FLU SHOTS:  Flu and pneumonia shots are administered each Fall by Maxim Health Systems.  The fee is determined by Maxim at the time of vaccination.

PODIATRIST:  A podiatrist is available every other month for minor foot problems, including toenail clipping.  A $20.00 fee is charged.  Serious foot problems can be referred to the doctor's practice.

MASSAGES:  Each Monday, between 10:15 and 1:15, one hour massages are provided at a fee of $30.00 to members.  The fee is paid to the massage therapist.

BINGO:  Play a variety of games for fun, small prices.  A larger prize is given for the final fill up game.  A 50/50 raffle is also held.  Lunch is available for $2.00 at 11:30 on Thursday preceded by arm chair exercises.  Transportation is available.

DOMINOES:  Two different days, two different styles.  Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00 just for fun.  Mondays from 11:00 to 3:00 have monthly tournaments. 

BRIDGE:  An independent group meets each Friday between 11:00 ann 3:00.  Group is on hiatus until new players are found.

SHUFFLEBOARD: Fun game using real shuffleboard equipment, no experience necessary.  Held every Monday at 10:00.

Wii:  Try your hand at Wii bowling.  Interactive game using the TV.  All levels of expertise welcome.  Wednesday, 11:00-12:00.  Possible other times added as needed.

MOVIES:  Vintage movies are shown on a big screen the first Tuesday of each month at 12:30.  There are fun theme decorating and refreshements, and lively discussion of the movie

BAND:  Musical members gather to practice on Tuesday morning at 11:30.  A open jam session, inviting all musicians, listeners, and dancers, to participate is held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 1:00.

FUN BUS TRIPS:  Friday trips to fun places.  Mid-morning through mid-afternoon for a sign up fee $3.00.  An additional fee for transportation costs (gas and wear and tear) is charged based on the mileage of the trip. The cost of tours, programs, and lunch is paid by individuals attending.  Other trips of interest are also available throughout the year.

SHOPPING TRIPS:  On the first and third Wednesday of each month at 9:00 the bus picks up members at their homes.  Riders determine the itinerary for shopping and lunch.

DINNER GROUP:  The dinner group goes by bus on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.  The first trip of the month is called "out of the ordinary".  It could be a little gourmet, a little upscale, or maybe just out of the ordinary.  On the second trip of the month, we will search the area for a little more homey selection.  The bus leaves at 4:30.  To secure a spot on the bus, sign up ahead of time.  Others may carpool.  Menus are posted at the Senior Center.
