Fall/Winter Volunteer Opportunities
Are you interested in volunteering for a special event or during the Fall/Winter? Volunteer opportunities are available for our Haunted Rec and Sundae with Santa events!
At the Haunted Rec you will help set up the haunted rec, building and decorating scaring rooms on Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17 from 9 am until we are finished. You can come and volunteer all day or just the morning or afternoon. The Haunted Rec will take place on Thursday, October 21, 6 - 9pm, Friday, October 22 & Saturday, October 23 6 - 10 pm. The Rec staff ask that Scarers arrive by 4:15 pm on all Haunted Rec Days, so that we can get you into costume, do your make-up and assign you your scare positions. Clean-up will be the following morning on Sunday, October 24 from 10 am until finished, the more people we have for clean-up the faster it will go. We are need of many volunteers for this year's Haunted Rec, we are requesting for volunteers that are at least 12 years of age.
At Sundaes with Santa we are in need of volunteers to be Elves and Reindeer, this event will be on Sunday November 28.
Hours volunteered can be counted towards high school credit the summer after your 8th year. All volunteers will receive a certificate specifying the hours of service they have performed for the Recreation Center.
