The Richfield Police Department Animal Control Officer investigates complaints from the public regarding animals. This includes stray, unlicensed, crippled, injured, vicious or destructive animals. Animals are taken to the dog pound located at the Richfield Police Department.
The Animal Control Officer also receives reports on lost or stolen animals and assists in returning them to their rightful owners. Any animal that is apprehended is housed until identification of ownership is determined.
On occasion animals are available for adoption. As animals become available the website will be updated.
Dog licenses are also available directly from the Animal Control Officer.
