The Tree Commission for the Village of Richfield is composed of five members. One member is chosen from within Council and one chosen from the Parks and Recreation Board, each serving a one-year term. Three members consist of Village residents chosen by the Mayor, each serving staggered three-year terms.

The Commission as outlined in the Codified Ordinances Chapter 155 serves in an advisory capacity to the Parks and Recreation Board and the Village Service Director, and shall establish public policies for the installation and maintenance of trees and ornamental shrubbery within Village owned or controlled property.
