(Thursday, September 22 – Friday, September 23)
On Thursday evening, September 22, beginning at 8 p.m., I-271 southbound will be reduced to one lane for bridge construction through Friday morning, September 23 at 6a.m. During this time the following ramps will be closed:
I-271 southbound to SR 303. The detour will be I-271 southbound to SR 94 to I-271 northbound.
I-271 southbound to I-77. The detour will be I-271 southbound to SR 94 to I-271 northbound.

Motorists traveling on I-271 northbound from just north of the Medina County line to the Ohio Turnpike should be aware of a bi-directional traffic pattern. Although two lanes of traffic are maintained in each direction on I-271 southbound, traffic is now split, with one lane of southbound traffic crossed over onto I-271 northbound, while the second lane remains on I-271 southbound side. This work is part of a $46.4 million project to reconstruct the pavement along I-271 from Broadview Rd. to the Ohio Turnpike. Then entire project is scheduled to be completed by late July 2017. |
