Pencil Drawing Class

This is an 8 week course instructed by Richfield artist, Cheri Homaee, is designed to guide beginning artist in the art of drawing. You will learn to draw from still life, animals and people. You will learn how to shade properly to create maximum realism. Explore your inner artist and use your imagination to produce beautiful artwork! No drawing experience is necessary.

Supplies Needed

  • 8x11 or larger smooth or vellum drawing paper. Strathmore or Canson brands recommended. Try to avoid Hobby Lobby and Michael’s brand.
  • Kneaded Eraser
  • metal pencil sharpener
  • charcoal pencil-medium and soft. General’s brand recommended
  • drawing pencils. HB,2B, 4B, 6B and 8B
  • carbon pencils- General’s brand recommended
  • sand block
  • blending stumps
  • Tom Bow eraser
  • drawing board at least 16x22 or larger
  • 10" proprtional divider to hold drawing supplies and drafting tools. Accuarsee Artist (orange in color) recommended.
