Safe Sitter

Today's babysitters need to know more than just the basics to keep themselves and children in their care safe.

That's why Safe Sitter™, an up-to-date and well-rounded youth development program with a medical basis teaches young teens safety skills to keep them safe now and in the future. It also equips them with the tools needed to stay home alone safely and with confidence. Taught by University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital.

Skills Safe Sitters Learn


  • Babysitting business skills
  • Basic CPR
  • How to call for emergency help
  • How to entertain children and keep them safe
  • What to do when a child chokes

Program Details


  • Ages: 11-13
  • When: June 22, 2016
  • Where: Richfield Recreation Center
  • Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
    (Lunch will be provided, but bring your own water bottle)
  • Fee: $45 for residents, $50 for non-residents
    Online Registration adds two dollars to the registration fee, totaling $47  for residents and $52 for non-resident
